Here is a great idea if you would like to teach your kids a little about history while teaching them to cook the fun way!! After you are learning how to make peanut butter, give them a lesson about George Washington Carver, the inventory of peanut butter.

Peanut Butter

What you need:

    1 cup shelled peanuts
    1 tablespoon oil
    measuring cup and spoon
    blender
    small jar
    spatula
    crackers
    knife

Pour the peanuts into the blender and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Cover and blend well. Use a spatula to scoop the peanut butter into the jar and refrigerate. Then go to the following web-site to learn about George Washington Carver: http://education.yahoo.com/search/be?lb=t&p=url% 3Ac/carver__george_washington
