Houston the largest city in Texas and the fourth largest in the country. Named after Sam Houston, a distinguished military leader and hero of the Texas Mexican War of 1835-1836. A southeastern city located at the head of the Houston Ship Channel which drains into the Gulf of Mexico.

If you're planning on a visit to this city you'll find it humid and hot during the summer months and winters comfortably bearable. What makes this city so wonderful is the many great attractions to suit varied tastes in entertainment and recreation.
