Houston the largest city in Texas and the fourth largest in the country. Named after Sam Houston, a distinguished military leader and hero of the Texas Mexican War of 1835-1836. A southeastern city located at the head of the Houston Ship Channel which drains into the Gulf of Mexico.

If you're planning on a visit to this city you'll find it humid and hot during the summer months and winters comfortably bearable.
